Our Story – Many Paths, One Vision
Sometimes a single moment changes everything. For me, that moment created Konna Clothing a brand born from challenge, built on purpose, and designed to last.
The Breaking Point
Eight years ago, my life seemed to be on track. I worked as a bitumen insulator, a tough but honest job. It was seasonal work that allowed a unique rhythm: summers spent grinding on rooftops in Finland, and winters free to travel the world.
Then, it all stopped. Years of physical strain led to two slipped discs. One morning, I couldn’t stand without help. The doctor’s verdict was harsh: my career was over.
That ending became a beginning. In that uncertainty, an idea was born.. one word: Konna.
Learning from Life’s University
I had an idea and a stubborn attitude, but I lacked the skills.
My journey since has been anything but straight. Every experience has taught me something essential.
The decisive step came when I joined an e-commerce startup led by my friends in Estonia, three and a half years that became an intense course in entrepreneurship and marketing.
During that period, I went through deep personal reflection, learning resilience and rediscovering what truly matters.
That same spirit is now woven into every Konna Minimal Hoodie
The Mission Clarified in the North
After the startup years, I had travelled a lot and needed to reconnect with something real. I rode my motorcycle from Estonia to Portugal, and after summer spent in Portugal I eventually ended up back north to Rovaniemi, Finland to work as a wilderness guide.
There, in the Arctic silence, Konna’s mission became more clear.
Sustainability wasn’t a marketing term anymore; it was survival. In Lapland, you understand what durability and premium quality truly mean, not as luxury, but as necessity.
As a guide, your equipment either works or it fails and that feedback is instant. Konna Clothing was built on that principle: products made to endure, not for one season, but for years to come.
From Vision to a Concrete Product
From Spain to Lapland
Today as I am writing this article, I am building Konna from Rovaniemi while working here for another guiding season.
I couldn’t create this brand from behind a laptop.
I needed to meet the people crafting our products. I travelled to Portugal, visited multiple factories, and found a family-owned partner that shares my obsession with quality, craftsmanship, and ethics.
Built Together, Just Beginning
This launch isn’t the finish line, it’s the starting point.
While I’ve designed and developed Konna largely myself, I haven’t done it alone. Every person I’ve met has, in some way, shaped this brand.
